AVNue is a free marketplace that connects visual-novel creators with the people who hire them. We try to collect as little as possible and never sell your data. Plain-language summary below; this is not legal advice.
What we store
- Account & identity. If you sign in with Discord, we store your Discord ID, username and display name so we can recognise your account. You can edit your display name and handle.
- Profile & work. Anything you choose to add: bio, creator profile, services, terms, job posts, commissions, messages and reviews.
- Uploads. Images you upload (avatar, cover, portfolio) are stored with our object host. Don't upload anything you don't have the rights to.
Cookies
We use only strictly-necessary cookies. There are no advertising or analytics trackers. Specifically:
- A signed session cookie that keeps you logged in and carries a CSRF token that protects forms.
- An optional "keep me signed in" cookie (30 days) issued only if you tick that box at sign-in.
Your light/dark theme preference is kept in your browser's local storage, not a cookie. Because these are essential to running the site, no cookie-consent banner is required.
Payments
AVNue never handles money. Payments are arranged and settled off-platform directly between the two parties. We hold no card details and run no escrow.
Who can see what
Profiles, services, reviews, public job posts and the home activity feed are public. Commission records and direct messages are visible only to the two people involved (and site staff for moderation).
Your choices
You can edit your profile any time. To delete your account and its data, contact staff via Discord or email abuse@avnue.dev; staff can remove an account and everything attached to it. Banned/suspended accounts are signed out immediately.
